Workshop 1

Provocations: The Art of Inviting Curiosity

11th September

16:00 - 17:30

What if you could light a spark of curiosity so bright it fuels an entire inquiry? That's the power of a well-crafted provocation. In this interactive online workshop, we’ll explore the power of provocations - thoughtfully designed experiences that awaken wonder and invite learners to dive deeper. More than just interesting objects or questions, provocations are intentional invitations that tap into learners’ existing curiosities and stretch their thinking beyond the surface.A provocation is our way of saying, "I invite you to explore something with me, I also see what you're curious about. Let's inquire into this together." It's how we excite, invite, and extend their thinking beyond the surface.

Discover how to craft provocations that honour student voice, fuel engagement, and create space for authentic exploration. This workshop will equip you with strategies to design meaningful invitations that open the door to deeper learning - together.

Workshop 2

Cultivating Curiosity, Connections and

Creativity using Concepts

18th September

16:00 - 17:30

How do we move beyond memorisation to spark meaningful learning? In this engaging online workshop, we’ll explore how concept-based learning cultivates curiosity, fosters global connections, and inspires creative thinking. Concepts provide the foundation for deeper understanding by helping students make sense of complex ideas, connect prior knowledge, and explore the world with purpose.

We will explore practical strategies for designing learning engagements and units that centre on big ideas, encourage critical thinking, and invite learners to draw meaningful conclusions. Whether you're just starting or looking to deepen your practice, this session will help you transform teaching and learning through the power of conceptual thinking.

Workshop 3

Unpacking Student Agency:

Putting Students in the Driver’s Seat

25th September

16:00 - 17:30

Are your students passive passengers or active pilots in their own learning journey?

In this dynamic workshop, we’ll unpack what true student agency looks like—and how to make it a lived reality across classrooms and schools. Together, we’ll explore powerful questions:

  • Do your learners have regular opportunities to share their ideas and opinions?

  • Are they making meaningful choices about how and what they learn?

  • Are they setting goals, reflecting on their growth, and taking ownership of their progress?

Join us for this final session in the series as we explore practical strategies to shift the balance—empowering students to lead, take initiative, and engage deeply in their learning.
